YES! 40-50% of women have dense breast tissue. QT Scan is the ONLY form of breast Imaging approved for women as young as 18.
Breast cancer diagnoses in women ages 15-39 has increased 17.2% since 2000. The most common form of cancer for this group is the most aggressive form: TNBC (Triple-Negative Breast Cancer). Breast Cancer diagnoses for women ages 30-34 was 3x that of women ages 25-29. Even so, the American Cancer Society has not recommended mammograms for women of average risk under 40 years old. We believe it may be because the younger you are, the more dense your breasts are. Since mammograms miss about 50% of cancers in dense breast tissue, these women have not been offered the option.
That changes with QT technology.
